What is Fascia?
Fascia is a single continuous ‘bio mechanical system’ that has no beginning or end.
It connects all of the separate components of the body, going within and around every structure enabling us to function as a whole.
Fascia facilitates movement by connecting tissues as well as by providing lubrication so that our muscles glide and our mobility is smooth. Fascia can even turn from solid to liquid depending on the needs of the body.
With 6-10 times the amount of nerve cells as muscles, fascia provides us with almost as much sensory information as the skin. Informing us of vital information about what is going on inside our organs – interoception – and about where are bodies are in space what position we are in- proprioception.
With this level of sensitivity it is not surprising that this is also a place where we can feel pain. The tension and pain we feel in muscles could actually be in the fascia. And because the fascia is continuous throughout our bodies, a restriction from injury in one area may deeply impact another area.

Reasons why working with fascia can provide pain relief:
- Releases Tension and Restrictions
• Fascia can become tight or develop adhesions due to stress, injury, poor posture, or repetitive movements. This tension restricts movement and can cause pain.
• The pulsating waves from the machine help loosen tight fascia, restoring normal movement and reducing discomfort. - Improves Circulation
• Tight fascia can impede blood flow and lymphatic drainage, leading to inflammation and a build up of toxins.
• Releasing fascia improves circulation, reducing swelling and promoting healing. - Reduces Nerve Compression
• When fascia tightens around nerves, it can cause pain, numbness, or tingling.
• Releasing fascial tension alleviates pressure on nerves, reducing symptoms. - Promotes Structural Alignment
• Fascia supports the alignment of bones, muscles, and joints. Imbalances in the fascia can lead to chronic pain and postural stresses. - Eases Chronic Pain
• Fascia often holds onto trauma and stress patterns, contributing to chronic pain conditions.
• Targeted fascial work releases these stored patterns, reducing long-term pain. - Improves Range of Motion
• Fascia restricts muscle movement when it becomes tight. By releasing fascial restrictions, flexibility and range of motion improve, reducing strain on the body. - Stimulates the Nervous System
• Working with fascia stimulates mechanoreceptors in the tissue, sending signals to the brain that promote relaxation and pain relief.
I have used this advanced therapy to help clients manage a range conditions, including fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, knee pain, and pain caused by injuries from accidents. By targeting the fascia, this treatment can address the root of these issues, reducing pain and improving mobility in a non-invasive way.

What to Expect During Your Session
During your session, we will start by discussing your health goals and assessing your needs
The treatment is non-invasive and you remain fully clothed, so it is advisable to wear something comfortable and not too bulky.
I will use the machine to apply the gentle vibrations to specific areas of your body to release the restrictions.
Most people will feel some improvements after the first session and experience a more comprehensive healing between 3-5 sessions.

Atlasbalans Machine
The Atlasbalans delivers between 400 to 1,200 harmonic pulsations per minute. These gentle vibrations create waves through the fascia, reducing the restictions by encouraging the return of flow to both deep and superficial tissue layer
By integrating the Atlasbalans Swedish Fascia Vibes machine into my practice, I aim to provide you with an advanced therapeutic approach that complements traditional massage techniques, enhancing overall well-being and facilitating a quicker return to optimal health.
